Last login: Wed Jan 8 17:20:30 on ttys000 I pinged that IP while I was downloading a large 4gb media file and got these results, didn't really see anything about latency though: I went into my seedbox settings and found the IP address of the server I pay for over in France. I tried to call ATT tech support to see if they were throttling my download speed for any reason but they couldn't give me any useful info.Īny help would be appreciated because it's going to take me years to download the files I need now if speed continues to creep along at this pace. So I have all this bandwith but it's not being used to it's fullest potential.Ĭould some setting in Filezilla cause this? I did a speed test while these 5 downloads were running and got a rating of 21.1Mbps download speed still left to go. But I'm downloading 5 files using SFTP through Filezilla right now and each one is only going at about 90 - 100 Kib/s for a total speed of only 500 Kib/s. Now they are taking 12 to 14 hours each.īoth Cox Cable and ATT provided me with 25mbps download speed. With Cox cable each 2gb file would take about an hour to download at most. Most files are about 1.5gb to 6gb in size. I use Filezilla to download media files from my seedbox. And my phone and table operate very slowly when I'm downloading files on my laptop. Now my downloads seem to be throttled back and limited. I used to be able to download anything I wanted for as long as I wanted and the network would never be slow. I had to switch from Cox Cable internet to ATT U-verse when I moved at the beginning of december.
